Meghan & Tristan’s magical wedding day at Miners Foundry has a special place in our hearts. When we were living in Sonoma, California, we met Meghan’s family when she was young. Years later, she wanted us to be the ones to document her special day. So we headed back to California for her dreamy wedding!

Tristan & Meghan’s Story

The happy couple met for the first time at one of their mutual friend’s wedding and they instantly connected with each other and knew that there was something special there. Tristan & Meghan enjoy being outdoors together—riding mountain bikes, surfing, snowboarding, backpacking, rock climbing, etc. They connected over their outdoor hobbies and their love story grew from there. Tristan proposed by taking Meghan to her favorite beach, where they had their first date, and giving her an engraved pocket knife that said “ How about forever?” They both have a love for knives, so after reading the engraving, Tristan got down on one knee!

Boho Wedding in Northern California

Their wedding day was absolutely magical, right out of a fairytale! Meghan got ready with her closest loved ones and slipped into her boho wedding gown. She then met Tristan on a bridge for their first look! It was a precious emotional moment as they saw each other for the first time and held each other close. We loved seeing the free-spiritedness of this couple as Meghan hiked barefoot with Tristan down by the river.

Their wedding ceremony and reception were held at Miners Foundry in Nevada City, California. Miners Foundry is a cultural center and California Historical Landmark that was built in 1879. The building is rustic and romantic, the perfect location for this wildly in love couple to say their vows. At the reception, Meghan gave a special performance, she sang while playing guitar with her best friend as Tristan looked on in admiration. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight!! Then everyone danced the night away! Thank you again for letting us be a part of your special day.
