Conrad and Chrissy’s Love Story

Conrad and Chrissy have a beautiful love story leading to their incredible wedding day. They met through mutual friends to go dancing in Manhattan, and the rest is history! Conrad surprised Chrissy by proposing a few days before Christmas visiting family. Chrissy told us, “It was always love! We’ve honestly been in love since our first kiss.”

Wedding Planning During a Pandemic

Planning a wedding during the pandemic wasn’t easy for Conrad and Christine. They had to make many changes due to the pandemic, including postponing their date and changing their venue. Chrissy told us the story:  “We chose a wedding venue that we fell in love with in Hudson, NY. Unfortunately, a few months before our wedding date, we found out that the venue wouldn’t be opening. This news came after postponing our wedding due to the pandemic. We were devastated and didn’t want to postpone again. Luckily, our florist, Kim from Flower Blossom Farm, suggested reaching out to The Barn at Liberty Farms and Kate from A Charmed Affair. By some miracle, they both had our date open (one of the only Saturdays left in 2021). We put a deposit down at the drop of a hat and never looked back. Now it feels like it was all meant to happen. We couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else!”

The Barn at Liberty Farms

The Barn at Liberty Farms ended up being the perfect wedding venue for this beautiful day. The outdoor ceremony was a dream! We loved the bright florals and all of the rustic chic details. But, most of all, we loved how happy everyone was to celebrate this special day with an incredible couple. The Barn at Liberty Farms is a barn venue located on the property of an organic farm. On top of the outdoor ceremony location and reception barn, there are two location options for a cocktail hour, a fire pit, and on-site lodging options!

Their Advice for Wedding Planning

“Don’t sweat the small stuff; no one will remember your forks. Also, the most important thing about your wedding is the company. Making room for one more plate is better money spent than upgraded table linens.”

Picking a Hudson Valley Wedding Photographer

“Selecting our photographer was one of the most important decisions we made. It was really necessary for us to choose someone who could not only take great portraits but could also lean into the surroundings and capture the lighting, atmosphere, and overall vibe of our wedding day. Another thing we really looked for was a photographer that wouldn’t miss all of the small details we put so much effort into. After all, these photos are what remains for years to come after the day is over.

We found Rebecca by stalking her Instagram page. Post after post and wedding after wedding, we couldn’t get enough of her talent. Looking at all of her posts on her Instagram feed and in her stories really helped us come to our decision. It was great seeing a variety of couples with different flowers, dresses, venues, etc., before coming to our decision. This also helped us make a checklist for our big day to make sure we had all of the photos we wanted. Not to much surprise, we still love stalking her page!”
